Thermoforming machines and Ancillaries

ATEM thermoforming machines allow to produce, with low energy consumption and low consumption of raw materials, top quality items for various sectors: sky-lights, bath tubs and sanitaries, automotive components, aircrafts components, components for railway carriages, cabinets and doors of refrigerators and other components for home appliances, luggages, furniture, advertising boards, helmets, pallets and many other products, from the simplest till the most complex shapes.

From the control PC of the thermoforming machine You can easily set, store and control the working parameters of each thermoformed product. A special electronic system of ATEM thermoforming machines allows You to precisely and differentiately regulate heating in each point of the thermoplastic foil, allowing to always get from thermoforming machine the best thicknesses distribution in the formed piece, without being compelled to utilize excessive thicknesses of raw materials. An exclusive self-diagnosis system of ATEM thermoforming machines constantly controls the functioning of the thermoforming machine components, advising of any misfunctioning and supplying detailed instructions to easily solve problems.

Besides the serial devices of ATEM thermoforming machines which facilitate the production change over operations (i.e. extractable mould-holding plate), also special automatic systems are optionally available for ATEM thermoforming machines in order to execute in very few minutes the mould change and the self-adjustment of all the machine parts according the different sizes to be processed. Other optional devices are available for ATEM thermoforming machines in order to adapt machines to any special production needs.

The thermoforming machines of LINEAL PRESSFORM series are automatic hydraulic in line 5 stations thermoforming machines (sheets loading station, pre-heating station, heating station, forming station, piece unloading station). These thermoforming machines are suitable for high production capacity and they are available with different forming dimensions starting from heated surface of mm 2000x1000; maximum formable height in positive (utilizing male moulds) or in negative (utilizing female moulds) up to mm 620. The pack of piled up sheets (even on pallet) must be placed inside the loading station of thermoforming machine, from where sheets are automatically picked up one by one and transferred between two radiant panels (one upper and one lower one) of pre-heating station and then between two radiant panels of heating station of thermoforming machine; after softening, the sheets are transferred into the forming station of thermoforming machine. Finally the formed pieces are automatically transferred and unloaded in the unloading station of thermoforming machine.
NOTE: for lower production capacities and to thermoform up to very large components, ATEM produces the thermoforming machines of MODULAR RAPID PRESSFROM series.

The special structure of these thermoforming machines and the high thrust forces of these thermoforming machines tables driven by powerful hydraulic cylinders allow to thermoform by utilizing, besides vacuum, also compressed air up to 18 bar pressure and/or mechanical compression.
Examples of fields of utilization of these thermoforming machines:

• Thermoforming of thermoplastic materials particularly hard to be formed even when they are softened by heating;
• Thermoforming and coupling by means of mechanical compression of different types of thermoplastic materials or of thermoplastic materials together with other types of materials, like fabrics, materials for aesthetic or protective coatings, etc. (example super light internal automotive components for automotive field, for aircrafts, for railway carriages coated with textures or with “soft-touch-type” materials);
• Thermoforming of products which need request sharp edges or surface hard coining (for example, lamp-screens with diamonds-points looking surfaces).
